We are delighted to share the news of two key appointments at The Wood Foundation.
Having dedicated the past 17 years to the Foundation as Africa Director, David Knopp has been promoted to the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of The Wood Foundation Africa.
David has played an instrumental role in shaping and delivering our mission, driving impactful partnerships, and leading our programmes with vision and integrity. This appointment reflects both David’s exceptional leadership and the continued ambition of The Wood Foundation Africa to deepen its impact across the region through venture philanthropy.
We are also pleased to announce that Alistair Buchan has been promoted to Chief Financial Officer (CFO), a role that will oversee both The Wood Foundation and The Wood Foundation Africa.
In his previous role as Head of Finance and Commercial Affairs, Alistair has demonstrated outstanding financial stewardship and strategic insight, helping to strengthen our financial sustainability and operational effectiveness across the UK and Africa.
As CFO, he will continue to play a crucial role in guiding the Foundation’s financial strategy and ensuring we maximise our impact.
