RAiSE celebration event, The Wood Foundation

We have a stellar change to our event line-up.

While we are sorry to share that Dallas Campbell, originally scheduled to deliver our space workshop, will have to jet off for filming commitments, we are thrilled to announce that Suzie Imber will be taking his space at the upcoming RAiSE Expo – Celebrating the Learning, Inspiring the Future: The RAiSE Legacy.

The event, which will take place across two sessions on Wednesday 21 May at The Social Hub in Glasgow, will celebrate the impact of RAiSE (Raising Aspirations in Science Education) – a decade-long programme of Education Scotland, The Wood Foundation, Scottish Government, and participating local authorities.

Suzie is a professor of space physics, a high-altitude mountaineer, explorer, and maybe even a future astronaut. Her expertise in space weather, specifically how the solar wind interacts with planets in our solar system, promises a fascinating and inspiring morning session.

Please note that Suzie will be joining us for the morning session only.

We are also pleased to confirm that both Dallas and Suzie will be recording exclusive short sessions for our online event on Tuesday 27 May, ensuring everyone gets a chance to hear from these two incredible voices in science and exploration.

In addition to inspiring speakers, attendees of the in-person event will also be able to take part in a wide range of professional learning workshops and connect with the RAiSE team and key partners to inspire future learning.
