The Robert Gordon University (RGU) was granted a total of £5million in 2014 by The Wood Foundation to help establish a global centre of excellence in Offshore Oil & Gas and establish a strong centre, in partnership with Opportunity North East, for Digital and Entrepreneurship in the region. This funding will enable the university to attract people from industry and academia to bring international knowledge and expertise in support of its strategy of becoming globally recognised for teaching, research and innovation in two of its key sectors.
