The Princes Trust Future Starts programme is aimed at 14-16 year olds at risk of withdrawing from education with no positive pathway identified. In 2014, The Wood Foundation continued their support of The Prince’s Trust positive pathways programmes by investing £175,030 in the ‘Future Starts’ pilot, helping secure match funding from the Scottish Government.
Working in partnership with local authorities, the Prince’s Trust Future Starts programme has supported young people to raise their ambitions and build their capacity to access further training and employment opportunities through flexible learning routes, further education colleges, employers and enterprise bodies.
Future Starts is now fully embedded within the Achieve programme, Prince’s Trust school based offering for young people in need of additional support around employability.
