The Prince’s Scottish Youth Business Trust (PSYBT) was Scotland’s leading charity in providing essential finance and professional support to 18-25 year olds in Scotland, from all walks of life, who wish to run their own business.
PSYBT was established to provide advice, finance, aftercare support, and networking opportunities to young entrepreneurs embarking upon business start-up. Those enterprises previously supported by the Trust can also access PSYBT support to develop and expand their current businesses.
In 2008 TWF invested £244,000 over three years, to support PSYBT to build capacity. The investment enabled the design, delivery and training to embed a bespoke online platform, allowing PSYBT to significantly transform the way they engage with over 6,000 supported businesses and volunteer business mentors. This offered a client based extranet facility; an interactive business directory containing all PSYBT supported businesses; and ongoing ICT support to manage the new technology.
PSYBT has since been subsumed into Prince’s Trust Scotland and is rebranded as PTYBS.
