The Wood Foundation first became involved with Northsound Radio’s Cash4Kids Mission Christmas appeal in 2015, committing £15,000 to cover the running costs of the campaign in order that the maximum amount of each public donation goes back to those young people across the North East of Scotland who are supported by the charity.
The partnership was extended in 2016 and 2017 with a further £15,000 investment each year. Additionally, staff from The Wood foundation have all engaged in both campaigns, sorting gifts and delivering them to some of the beneficiary groups.
In 2016 the Cash4Kids Mission Christmas campaign attracted 261 applications for support ensuring 7,133 children and young people across the North East of Scotland woke up to gifts on Christmas Day.
